and productivity		 Summary: In the paper results on study of Scots pine culture state and growth in the different types of drained mires in Southern Karelia (middle subzone of taiga) are presented. The causes defining the state and productivity of Scots pine culture in different habitats are revealed. The measures for optimization of artificial afforestation of drained mires are suggested.
