Summary: Тhe balance of water supply and sanitation is one of the determining factors of a large enterprise resource saving. Water with different quality is required at different stages of production. The requirements of industrial effluents are also strict. Insufficiently treated wastewater can have a negative impact on the reservoir if the entity has own release of effluents into reservoir. The fee for the discharge of untreated sewage can repeatedly exceed the profits of the enterprise. Analysis of manufacturing processes and improving drainage scheme can reduce the negative load on the pond. An example of calculating the amount of damage caused by Lake Onega. The cost of construction of additional cleaning is 25% the size of the penalties of environmental services for the discharge of inadequately treated sewage.
