Summary: Results of the analysis of published data about the peculiarities of root systems morphometric development of coniferous and broadleaved species ligneous plants are published. Parameters of forest plantation with various types of a root systems structure which are cultivation as in forest nurseries and sprout under natural surroundings, are considered. It is noted that rooting depth of roots into the soil and size of their horizontal distribution depend on age of a plant, a place of its growth and soil conditions. It is established that at cultures aged from 4 till 8 years when at a plant the greatest efficiency of a root cutting is observed, the roots main body bedding in the humus horizon – 10 … 20 centimeters. The revealed results are used for definition of attachment rational parameters of the tool for a plantlets lifting with a soil lump – its width and the undercutting maximum depth of the plants providing the minimum bruise of root system at a lifting, which increases the quality of the received planting material.
