Summary: The current technological and economic backwardness of the agro-industrial complex of Belarus from advanced world agricultural production is largely due to the underestimation in recent years of the progressive capabilities of modern information and communication technologies and as a consequence of their very slow and limited introduction into the country's agriculture. The article provides a brief analysis of the main types of machinery used in plant growing in the country. It is established that the modern level of equipping domestic agricultural machinery with elements of satellite navigation lags behind the level of equipping with the corresponding systems of the machine tractor fleet of the EU and US countries by 10 and 15 times, respectively. The share of agrarian enterprises actively using various elements and systems of precise agrarian technologies on the basis of terrestrial and satellite remote monitoring, navigation and control means does not exceed 6% of the total number of all enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the republic. The trends are analyzed and the prospects of using innovative information and analytical systems based on satellite navigation are examined to increase the efficiency of the machine and tractor fleet and the technical services of the agro-industrial complex.
