Summary: This article examines the history of cleaning cutting technology in Russia. Modern methods and principles governing cleaning cutting began to form in XVII century. The accumulated experience of Russian forestry technical school allows developing new methods for the care of forest plants. The article examines the experience of cleaning cutting of Russian forestry technical school from the XVII century to the present, analyzes the principles of plant care methods and examines the development process of the Russian forestry technical school. The development of forestry science in Russia began from the time of Peter the Great with formation the «ship forests» and «ship groves», which formed special quality for individual trees, then gradually the development vector of cleaning cutting shifts to forming quality characteristics of forest as a whole. Thus, Russian forestry technical school was formed with the goal of forming qualities characteristics for individual trees with the transformation to forming forests that meet the economic goals of the forest cultivation. |
