Summary: The article focuses on the problems of tree-length skidding, namely, on the vibrations arising due to the interaction between a tree-length skidder and movement surfaces. A mathematical model demonstrates the interaction between forces applied to the moving tree length. A differential equation characterizes a bending-moment curve of the tree length under dead transverse load. Natural vibration frequencies of the tree length are determined by using an energy method.
